KTGR Athlete Spotlight: Macey Hansen

KTGR is honoring an outstanding local high school athlete each week!

This week’s Athlete Spotlight shines on Battle senior swimmer Macey Hansen. Last weekend at the COMO Invite at Mizzou, Hansen finished in first place in the 500 freestyle, setting a new meet record. She also broke her own school record in the 500 free that she set in the state meet last year by five seconds.

“Macey is a great leader and friend to all on Team COMO,” said CPS swimming coach Taylor Birsa. “She likes to keep the atmosphere light at practice, but buckles down when the time is right. Her success in the pool is a huge motivator for the new girls to set big goals and to continue to work hard!”
