KTGR Athlete Spotlight: Hank Benter

KTGR is proud to honor an outstanding area high school athlete each week!

This week’s Athlete Spotlight shines on Hickman junior wrestler Hank Benter. Last weekend, Benter competed at the Bobcat Classic in Kansas and pinned every opponent he faced, earning the title in the 120-pound weight division. Benter remains undefeated, having won the Badger State Invitational in Madison, WI and the Red Schmitt Holiday Tournament in Granite City, IL.

“Hank is a leader by way of example,” said Hickman wrestling coach Dan Pieper. “Hank is the hardest worker in our room always trying to get better. Hank is also a leader in the class room with a 4.36 GPA.”

Benter is currently a two-time state champion and 100-win club member for Hickman, and a Mizzou commit.
