KTGR Athlete Spotlight: Blake Morris

KTGR is highlighting an outstanding area high school athlete each week!

This week features Columbia Independent School track and field Junior Blake Morris. This past weekend at the sectional meet at South Callaway Blake qualified for state in the 100, 200, and 400 meter events. He became the first male athlete to qualify for multiple state events in Columbia Independent School history

“In his first season of participating in track Blake has excelled and set school records in the 100 and 200 meter runs as well as the long jump,” Columbia Independent School athletic director Jeff Martin said.

This Friday and Saturday Blake will be in action at the state championships at Adkins Stadium in Jefferson City.
