KTGR is highlighting an outstanding area high school athlete each week!
This week features Battle senior guard Nautica Washington. The four-year starter and captain has averaged 13 points a game this season, and was critical in the Spartans’ one-point victory against Vashon for their regular season finale. Washington scored 30 points and surpassed the 1,000-point mark for her career during the game.
“Nautica has had a fantastic senior season and career as a Battle Spartan,” said Battle girls basketball coach Dustyn Yung. “This season, she has become a great leader and impacts the game on both ends of the court. She is a major factor in the success we have had this season and the past couple of seasons.”
Battle is the #3 seed in the Class 6 District 4 tournament this week, and will play Wentzville Liberty in the first round Wednesday night.
