KTGR is highlighting an outstanding area high school athlete each week!
This week features Battle senior midfielder Delaney Ellebracht. Last week the captain netted a hat trick and tacked on an assist to lead the Spartans to their first win of the season over Sunnydale Adventist Academy.
“We have lots of new players this year and even before being assigned the captain role Delaney has been a leader on our team helping to push her teammates to meet expectations every practice and game,” said Battle girls soccer coach Blake Shiparski. “Delaney has been willing to take on any role to best help the team, even leading a group through drills when we were short coaches one day. On the field, Delaney works tirelessly playing nearly every single minute of each game and seemingly never running out of steam. Delaney is a perfect example of a leader and player that any team would be lucky have as a member.”
Battle plays host to Smith-Cotton on Thursday, April 4th as they continue their 2024 season.
