KTGR Athlete Spotlight: Mari Miller

We’re highlighting the accomplishments of an outstanding area high school athlete each week!

This week features Rock Bridge junior forward Mari Miller. Last week, Miller helped her team to two victories over Jefferson City and Lee’s Summit, averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds during the two games and shooting 70 percent from inside the arc. She also eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for her career in the game against Jefferson City.

“[Mari] scored her 1,000th career point, a testament to her many hours of work when no one is in the stands,” said Rock Bridge girls basketball coach Jill Nagel. “Mari is our second leading scorer and rebounder and elevates our level of play.”

The Bruins are 19-4 on the season and will play next at home against Cardinal Ritter on Thursday.
