KTGR Athlete Spotlight: Luke Sievers

KTGR is highlighting an outstanding area high school athlete each week!

This week features Rock Bridge junior cross country runner Luke Sievers. The defending individual state champ won the Memphis Twilight Festival this past weekend helping to lead the team to a 93 point victory in the 41 team event which showcased schools from Texas, Mississippi, Kentucky, and more. Rock Bridge coach Neal Blackburn says that Luke has assumed the role of leader by example on a daily basis, “His teammates look to him as a source of how to do things in order to attain a certain level of excellence.”

Rock Bridge cross country continues their season this Saturday with the Olathe Twilight race as they look to continue defending their 2023 state title.
