KTGR Athlete Spotlight: Langston Thomas

KTGR is highlighting an outstanding area high school athlete each week!

This week features Langston Thomas of Hickman track and field. Last week at the Hillcrest Invitational in Springfield, the team captain set an individual school record in the long jump with a leap of 23 feet and 6 inches, as well as contributed to the 4×100 relay team breaking its own previously held school record in the event.

“Langston Thomas is a true team leader in every sense of the word,” Hickman track and field head coach Stewart Johnson said. “Langston is the consummate leader. He is willing to counsel other teammates and encourage and cheer on his teammates.  He is one of our captains who is looked up to by underclassmen and peers alike.  Langston is a very valuable part of the Hickman Track and Field Team.”

Hickman competes in the Blue Springs Gary Parker Invite Friday 4/12.
