KTGR is highlighting an outstanding area high school athlete each week!
This week features Rock Bridge track and field senior Andrew Hauser. This past weekend Andrew competed in the Eastern Relays at Louisville, Kentucky winning the 3200 meter race with a school record time of 8:51.1. This was also the fourth fastest time in Missouri history for the event. Following that performance he posted a time of 1:54.6 in the 800 meter race which was .1 second off of the school record.
“Andrew has been a central component of the Rock Bridge cross country and track and field programs helping the respective teams to five team state championships and two second place finishes over the course of his career,” Rock Bridge coach Neal Blackburn.
Andrew Hauser is signed to stay in Columbia to continue his academic and athletic career at Mizzou next year.
