KTGR is highlighting and outstanding area high school athlete each week!
This week features Rock Bridge senior Trey Clervi. Clervi is a member of the swim team and took home his second state championship in the 100 meter breast stroke. In this race he set a new school record in the event along with a new school record in the 200 IM finishing second. Clervi also competed on two relay teams that finished 4th and 7th.
Clervi’s impact can be seen in and out of the pool, “Trey’s work ethic is contagious as he motivates everyone around him to be better than they were when they started practice. He has a positive attitude at every meet where you can find him cheering on his teammates and adding to the positive atmosphere with a funny meme or video,” Rock Bridge coach Taylor Birsa said.
As a team Rock Bridge finished 5th at the Class 2 State Championships with 161 points.
