KTGR is highlighting an outstanding local high school athlete each week! This week features Battle senior Tayla Robinson.
In Battle’s games at the Class 6 District 7 tournament, Robinson averaged 22 points per game shooting 48% from the field. Along with that impressive stat line Robinson also shot 86% from the free throw line with 4.5 rebounds per game and 1.5 steals per game.
“Tayla has without question had the best girls basketball career in the history of Battle High School. She is the school’s all time leader in points, assists, steals, and wins. I believe the final week of her career proves that she will forever be an all time great at Battle and she will be missed,” Battle head coach Chaun Davis said.
Battle defeated Smith Cotton 52-29 at the Class 6 District 7 tournament to advance to a game against Rock Bridge where their season ultimately ended with a 54-44 defeat.
