KTGR and MU Health Care Sports Medicine are highlighting an outstanding local high school athlete each week!
This week features Rock Bridge senior offensive lineman Marqies Mitchell, who made his first start for the Bruins last weekend in their opening game against Park Hill. Mitchell helped the Rock Bridge offense accumulate more than 200 yards rushing, and recorded five pancake blocks.
“Marqies is a giant teddy bear off the field but on the field he’s imposing and dominant,” said Rock Bridge head football coach Matt Perkins. “He’s a great teammate and the addition of him to our program is huge! When he gets his hands on a defender it’s unfair. He has a ton of upside and a bright future.”
Rock Bridge will be featured on KTGR’s High School Football Game of the Week this Friday as they host Smith-Cotton at 7 p.m.
