KTGR is highlighting an outstanding local high school athlete each week!
This week features Hickman sophomore track runner John Moss. Last weekend at the Class 5 Sectional 2 meet, John qualified for the state championships in three events by winning the 200- and 400-meter races and finishing second with the Hickman 4×200-meter team.
“John Moss is starting to realize his true potential in track and field,” said Hickman track and field coach Stewart Johnson. “After the sectional track meet, he now has school records in the 200, 400, and also part of the 4×100 and 4×200 meter relays. We look forward to watching him this weekend at State and seeing him continue to grow throughout the rest of his high school career.”
Hickman track and field will compete in the Class 5 state championships this Friday and Saturday in Jefferson City.
