KTGR is highlighting an outstanding local high school athlete each week!
This week features Rock Bridge senior pitcher Jake Musick, who pitched a complete game shutout in a 1-0 extra-inning victory against #10 Eureka last weekend at the Columbia Tournament. Musick allowed just four hits and two walks while striking out nine batters in nine innings.
“Jake has been one of our most reliable pitchers for the last two years at the Varsity level,” said Rock Bridge baseball coach Justin Towe. “His ability to command the zone with multiple pitches is what makes him so successful on the mound. On top of that, Jake is a tireless worker and vocal leader for our baseball team. We would not have near the success we have had the last two years had it not been for Jake.”
Rock Bridge baseball is 17-5 so far this season, and will host Capital City Wednesday night.
