KTGR is highlighting an outstanding area high school athlete each week!
This week features Battle sophomore Brandon Rooks II. Rooks was named to the All-Tournament team in the Troy Buchanan Tournament after leading the spartans to a championship. In the tournament Rooks averaged 20.3 points per game and shot 41% from three. His playmaking was on display as well as he averaged 4.3 assists per game.
With a great start to the season even without all the numbers, “He has done a good job handling the ball and setting up his teammates, as well as shooting at a high percentage. He continues to do a better job on the defensive end each day as well, the future is bright for Brandon,” Battle head coach Benjamin Pallardy said.
The Spartans are off to a 3-0 start to the season and will play host to Miller Career Academy this Friday at home.
