KTGR and MU Health Care Sports Medicine are highlighting an outstanding local high school athlete each week!
This week features Father Tolton senior forward Baker Thornburg, who scored back-to-back hat tricks along with four assists in two games against Hickman and Fatima last week. Baker’s three goals in the Hickman game helped him break the Tolton boys soccer all-time scoring record.
“Baker Thornburg has made a tremendous impact on our boys soccer team over the last four years, not only through his ability to create scoring opportunities, but through the leadership he provides everyday,” said Tolton boys soccer coach Brandon Russell. “He leads by example with his work ethic, competitiveness, and commitment to his teammates, and his influence goes far beyond what shows up on the scoreboard.”
Tolton boys soccer is 6-3 this season and will visit St. Francis Borgia on Thursday.
