KTGR and MU Health Care Sports Medicine are highlighting an outstanding local high school athlete each week!
This week features Father Tolton sophomore golfer Avery Wheeler, who earned all-state honors by finishing in sixth place individually at the Class 2 state tournament in Farmington last week. Avery shot a 79 on both days of the tournament.
“Avery is very hard working, and will take practice seriously each day, and she is very determined while doing most of her work independently,” said Father Tolton golf coach Adam Dresden. “She is also very competitive and wants the best for the golf team and herself. She follows the rules and will ask when needing help or a rule question to learn more about the game, we are proud of her from both coaches stand points.”
Father Tolton girls golf finished third overall in the Class 2 state tournament.
