Mizzou’s standout basketball star is heading to Los Angeles.
Forward Kobe Brown was drafted by the LA Clippers Thursday night with the final pick (No. 30 overall) of the 2023 NBA Draft’s first round. Brown becomes the 16th former Mizzou player to become a first-round NBA Draft pick, and the first one since Michael Porter Jr. was selected 14th overall by the Denver Nuggets in 2018.
In his senior season with the Tigers, Brown averaged 15.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, shot 55.3% from the field and 45.5% on three-pointers. He was named to the All-SEC First Team by the SEC coaches, the AP and USA Today.
