Wrestling Crowns Five Champions at Tiger Style Invite

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Missouri wrestling team finished in first place with 188.5 points and had 20 wrestlers place at the Tiger Style Invite, held at Staley High School on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Five Tigers brought home an individual title. Redshirt sophomore Noah Surtin at 125 and Keegan O’Toole at 165 both won their finals matches by technical fall and earned their second Tiger Style Invite titles. Redshirt senior Brock Mauller at 157 and redshirt freshman Clayton Whiting at 184 both won their title matches. The win marks the first Tiger Style Invite title for Whiting, while Mauller secured his second, winning last year at 149 pounds. Hometown wrestler redshirt senior Zach Elam sent the fans home happy with a win to end the night at 285. 

In total, the Tigers had five claim first place, six bring home second, two finish third, two finish fourth, one finish fifth, two finish sixth, and two finish seventh.
