Women’s Track & Field Wins First Outdoor Championship Since 2018

St. Louis, Mo. – (Full Results) The Columbia College women’s track & field team won the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the first time since 2018. 

The Cougars scored 257 points, beating out William Woods by 68 points who accumulated 189 points. 

Columbia took home six gold medals, as Madeline Burton (long jump), Katelyn Conner (triple jump), Lily Ashrafzadeh (100-meter run and 200-meter run) took home individual titles and the 4X100-meter relay team (Makenzie Schwartz, Gracie Schultz, Burton, and Ashrafzadeh) and 4X400-meter relay team (Hadley Sanders, Ashrafzadeh, Halie Moeller, Conner) finished first. 

Conner won Athlete of the Meet after scoring a championship best 32.5 points. Conner won the triple jump, second in the 400-meter hurdles, and fourth in the long jump, 100-meter hurdles, and high jump. In addition, she was a part of the 4X400-meter relay team that placed first.
