Columbia, Mo. – The No.13-ranked Columbia College women’s soccer team took on the Wildcats of Culver-Stockton College in non-conference action, marking the first contest ever between the Cougars and the Wildcats.

Just 13-minutes into play, Abigail Logan played the ball to Juana Wulff at the top of box. Wulff turned and faced and blasted the ball to the right of the Wildcat goalkeeper, putting the Cougars up 1-0.

The Wildcat defense kept tight for the remainder of the first half as the Cougar lead was still 1-0 at halftime.

In the 48th-minute of play, Abigail Logan took a cross from Jewel Morelan and volleyed the ball up and into the back of net. Up 2-0 now, the Cougars kept the offensive pressure on Culver-Stockton.

Ten minutes later, Abigail Logan dribbled through the C-SC defenders and scored on her own, making it her second goal of the match and extending the Columbia lead to 3-0.

The match played out with the Cougars keeping the ball on their offensive front, racking up 19 team shots to finish the match.

With the win, Columbia improves to 8-3-1 overall with their next outing on Saturday, October 15th, when they play host to Missouri Baptist University in American Midwest Conference action.
