Women’s Indoor Track & Field Places Second at Redhawks Invite

Cape Girardeau, Mo. – (Full ResultsThe Columbia College women’s indoor track & field team competed at the 2022 Redhawks Invite, hosted by Southeast Missouri State University on Saturday. The Cougars finished second, competing against two NCAA DI programs and two NAIA schools. 

Freshman Gracie Schultz had a career day scoring 12.25 points in four events. She finished 2nd in the triple jump, 3rd in the 4X400-meter relay, and 5th in the 200-meter dash and long jump.

Madeline Burton scored in three events, placing 1st in the triple jump, 3rd in the 4X400-meter relay, 6th in the long jump, 7th in the 200-meter dash and 10th in the 55-meter dash. her time of 8.04 in the 55-meter dash is a new personal record. 

Evelyn Roland (weight throw) and Hadley Sanders (800) also set new personal records.
