Women’s Golf Completes Season at SEC Championship

The University of Missouri women’s golf team concluded its season at the SEC Championship on Sunday, placing 14th as a team with 898 strokes.

Freshman Fleur van Beek led the team with a three-day total of 220, with a 73 in the final round. The highlight for the freshman included her round two score of 71, which featured four birdies. Overall, van Beek placed 41st in the championship field – the highest finish by a Mizzou freshman since Jessica Yuen placed 17th in 2017.

Addie Dobson followed up with a score of 227 (74-80-73) for the week, ending on a high note with one eagle and two birdies in round three. Melanie Walker was one stroke behind her teammate with a 228 overall (75-78-75), finishing with a 75 on the final day.

Winnie Ng and Emily Staples both played their final round of collegiate golf on Sunday. Ng entered the lineup to card a 74, while Staples added a 76 to round out a 229 for the week (79-74-76).

The Tigers carded a final-round tally of 295 on Sunday – improving their score in each round. It followed a 304 in the opening 18 holes of action before a 299 in round two.
