Women’s Basketball Inks Nyah Wilson

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Women’s Basketball has signed transfer guard Nyah Wilson as announced by head coach Robin Pingeton on Friday.

Wilson, the Mountain West Conference Newcomer of the Year and an All-Conference performer started all 32 contests at New Mexico a season ago where she averaged 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals.

An efficient scorer, Wilson ranked fifth in the conference shooting 41.3 percent from the floor and 34.9 percent from the 3-point range with the Lobos. The guard recorded 20+ points in 11 games and notched 10+ in 25 contests.

Wilson played her freshman and sophomore campaigns at Syracuse where she made 40 appearances and a start during her tenure.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Wilson was a four-star recruit and a McDonald’s All-American nominee out of Duncanville High School.

The signing marks the first transfer addition of the offseason for the Tigers.
