Women’s Basetball Adds Tilda Sjökvist

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women’s basketball has added transfer guard Tilda Sjökvist head coach Robin Pingeton announced on Monday.

Sjökvist, a Big South Second Team All-Conference honoree, arrives to Missouri following two seasons at Presbyterian. Last year, she led the Blue Hose to a conference title and a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

During her sophomore campaign, Sjökvist ranked seventh in the Big South at 10.5 points per game, third in the conference with 3.5 assists per contest while also adding and 2.9 rebounds.

As a freshman, the Huskvarna, Sweden native totaled 8.3 points, dished 3.5 assists and grabbed 2.3 boards.

Prior to her collegiate tenure, Sjökvist played three years in SBL dam the top division in Sweden. She was named an all-star and claimed a gold at the 2019 Nordic Championship.

The signee represented her country on the U16 and U18 national teams and was a member of Sweden’s U16 European Championship team.

Sjökvist is the Tigers’ third transfer addition this offseason, joining Nyah Wilson and Laniah Randle.
