Women’s 200 Free Relay Takes Bronze at SECs

200 Free Relay Podium

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Seniors Megan Keil and Sarah Thompson, junior Amy Feddersen and sophomore Sierra Smith secured the University of Missouri’s first podium finish of the SEC Swimming and Diving Championships with bronze in the 200 free relay. 

Ten individual Tigers qualified for the day two finals. Senior Danny Kovac led the men with a fourth place finish in the 200 IM, followed by junior Ben Patton in seventh, sophomore Freddie Rindshøj in 13th and junior Will Goodwin in 18th

Junior Kevin Hammer finished 17th in the 50 free, and senior Jack Dubois also finished 22nd in the 500 free.

Thompson led the Mizzou women individually with a tie for fifth in the 50 free, followed by Keil in eighth and Feddersen in nineteenth. Senior Allison Bloebaum also scored points for the Tigers with a 22nd place finish in the 500 free.

Sophomore Takuto Endo and junior Carlo Lopez both scored points in the 1-meter competition with 12th and 16th place finishes, respectively.

The No. 14 Mizzou men sit in ninth place with 269 points. The No. 19 women sit in eighth place with 206.5 points.
