2024 NCAA WSD Championship Sendoff

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri Swim and Dive program will be represented by Taylor Williams and Kamryn Wong at this year’s edition of the 2024 Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship in Athens, Ga. The first event is slated to begin Wednesday evening at 5 p.m., as all the action from inside the Gabrielsen Natatorium will be streaming on ESPN+.

Wong is set to tackle the 1-meter dive at NCAA’s. Prelims for the event will take place at noon on Thursday, March 21, as consolation finals begin at 5:15 p.m. before a champion will be crowned during the 6 p.m. session.

The sophomore currently owns the ninth-best 1-meter mark in program history with a 304.43 set at Louisville (Jan. 5), and is fresh off of a 10th-place finish in the event (288.65 in prelims) at the Zone Diving Championships in Houston.

Williams will compete in both butterfly events, slotting in as the no. 32-seed in the 100 fly and the no. 37-seed in the 200 fly. Prelims for the 100 fly are set for a 10 a.m. kickoff on Friday, March 22, with finals later that evening at 6 p.m. The 200 fly will follow on Saturday, March 23, with both sessions slated for the same times.

The junior’s 100 fly mark of 51.78, which she set at the Mizzou Qualifer on March 3, currently sits fourth on Mizzou’s all-time leaderboard. Her 200 fly pace of 1:55.88 is second, only behind Sharli Brady (2018).
