GAINESVILLE, Fla. — University of Missouri closed out the weekend with a pair of event wins and two program top-10 marks at the Florida Relays hosted by Florida in Gainesville, Florida. In total, the Tigers earned seven top-five finishes throughout the day.

Rece Rowan started the day strong for Mizzou in the men’s discus throw competition, winning the event with a 54.08m toss. Later in the day, he earned another top-five finish in the men’s shot put, placing fifth with a 16.41m throw.

Emily Offenheiser pulled off the double feat of winning the women’s shot put and earning a spot on the program’s top-10 list in that event. With her winning throw of 15.75m, she vaulted herself into the record books with the ninth-best women’s outdoor shot put in Mizzou history.

Another program top-10 mark came in the men’s triple jump, where Sterling Scott made his collegiate outdoor debut with a 15.64m leap to place eighth all-time. The mark tied for sixth in the competition and puts the freshman All-American comfortably among the top-25 marks in the nation.

Other top finishers included Skylar Coffey, who picked up two podium finishes on the day by finishing runner-up in the men’s shot put with a 17.70m mark and third place in the men’s discus with a 53.43m throw. Jumper Claudina Diaz made her outdoor debut in the high jump, earning a bronze-medal placement with a 1.79m attempt.
