  • At the Ward Haylett Invitational and Drake Relays, Missouri had a strong final weekend of regular-season competition, winning eight events across the two meets.
  • The distance competitors found great success at the Ward Haylett Invitational. On the men’s side Angus Beer racked up a pair of victories in the men’s 800m and 1500m, while Eddie Zuercher topped the podium in the 3000m steeplechase.
  • For the women’s distance runners, Brianna Lee led a Tiger podium sweep in the 800m, while Isabelle Christiansen picked up her second career event victory, pacing the field in the 3000m steeplechase. At the Drake Relays, Kelsey Schweizer won the 800m with an outdoor personal-best 2:06.23.

JAVELIN SUCCESS
  • With a pair of javelin throwers ranked among the top eight in the SEC, Missouri hopes to yield a top-eight javelin finisher for the fifth consecutive SEC Outdoor Championships meet.
  • After earning USTFCCCA First Team All-America honors in 2023, Skylar Ciccolini will compete in her first SEC Championships competition since 2021, entering with the fifth-best SEC javelin mark at 52.43m.
  • After finishing among the top eight in 2021 and 2022, Erin Zimmerman hopes to add another top-eight placement to her resume, as she sits at seventh in the conference with a 51.18m mark set at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
TRIPLE JUMP TIGERS
  • The Tigers have fielded a top-eight finisher in either the men’s or women’s triple jump at every SEC Outdoor Championships since 2019. Euphenie Andre and Sterling Scott have positioned themselves to continue that streak for a fifth consecutive conference championship meet.
  • Andre, a two-time USTFCCCA All-American in the event, has finished seventh in the event each of the last two SEC Outdoor Championships, and finished the regular-season with a 12.94m mark that ranks third in the SEC.
  • Scott is coming off earning a bronze medal in the triple jump at the 2024 SEC Indoor Championships in addition to earning USTFCCCA Indoor Second Team All-America honors. He enters his first SEC Outdoor Championships ranking sixth in the SEC with a 15.64m jump.
DOMINATING IN DISCUS
  • In the men’s discus throw, Missouri has looked stronger than ever as a unit with four Tigers ranking among the top eight in the SEC in the event.
  • Mitch Weber currently boasts the third-best mark in the conference in 2024, with his 60.58m toss at the Beach Invitational coming less than half a meter shy of his personal best.
