Tommy Hagan joins 2022 signing class

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri wrestling head coach Brian Smith announced Tuesday the signing of Tommy Hagan to the 2022-23 class. Hagan was a 2022 Missouri Class 4 State Champion at 220 pounds.

“Tommy was an outstanding two-sport athlete at Lafayette and when he expressed that he wanted to wrestle in college, we knew we had to get him to be part of tiger style,” Smith said. “Tommy comes from a Mizzou family and we’re looking forward to adding another home-grown talent. I’m excited to see wat he can do when he can focus on wrestling.”

The Lafayette (Wildwood) senior is ranked as the No. 1 220-pounder in Missouri by FloWrestling. Hagan finished his senior season at an unblemished 46-0, capped by a 16-5 major decision in the MSHAA State Championships. He is a three-time state placer, finishing in second and third his sophomore and junior years, respectively.

Hagan joins a recruiting class buoyed by 2022 state champions Owen Uhls (Missouri), Zeke Seltzer (Indiana), J Conway (Indiana), Ryan Boersma (Illinois), Kade Moore (Texas) and Clayton Whiting (Wisconsin.), as well as 2019 Missouri State Champion Easton Hilton.
