Mara Titarsolej

FORT WORTH, Texas — Senior Mara Titarsolej closed out the 2024 season for University of Missouri gymnastics with a 9.6625 as an individual competitor on bars at the NCAA National Semifinal Thursday night inside Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

In her first season with Missouri, the Zutphen, Netherlands, native put up the most productive season on bars in program history. After transferring from LIU this offseason, she assumed the anchor role in MU’s bars lineup for all 14 meets across the regular season and postseason. She hit eight routines of 9.9 or better to help the Tigers compile their most successful campaign on bars as a team.

Individually, Titarsolej finished the season as the SEC bars co-champion and ranked 10th in the country with a 9.950 NQS to earn WCGA Regular Season Second Team All-America honors. She also hit the team’s first perfect 10 on bars at Mizzou to the Lou on Feb. 16 and became the first Tiger to qualify for the NCAA Championship on bars with a program postsseason record 9.950 on bars in the NCAA Gainesville Regional Second Round.

Meet Notes

  • The senior is Missouri’s 14th NCAA individual qualifier in program history and the team’s first on bars.
  • With Titarsolej’s appearance at NCAA Nationals, Missouri has been represented in four consecutive NCAA National Semifinal meets, with the entire squad appearing in 2022 and Sydney Schaffer and Alisa Sheremeta appearing as individuals in 2021 and 2023, respectively.
