Tigers Open 2023-2024 Season in Texas

The Missouri Women’s Golf team opens its 2023-2024 season on Monday with the Sam Golden Invitational.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Twelve teams are set to compete at the Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas, starting on Monday with 36 holes. The Tigers will have a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT during the first round with an additional 18 holes of action on Tuesday (tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. CT) for final placement. 

The Tigers are joined in the field by Texas Tech, TCU, Tulsa, Houston, Nebraska,  UTSA, Tulane, BYU, Charlotte, Kennesaw State and North Texas.

The par-72 course at Oakmont Country Club measures 6,413 yards in length.

RETURNING TIGERS

Leading the team in scoring average with a 74.19, Emily Staples returns for her senior season as well as rising sophomores Jade Zamora (75.33) and Melanie Walker (74.54) after ample success in the off-season. 

Other returning Tigers include Kate Bibby (74.60), Jade Zamora (75.33), Addie Dobson (76.67) and Olivia Sowers (78.66).

MIZZOU DEBUTS
Three Tigers are set to make their debut on Monday. Graduate Student Winnie Ng joins Mizzou from Washington University alongside junior Ffion Tynan from Arkansas University. Freshmen Fleur van Beek is set to make her collegiate debut this week.
