Men's Golf Regionals

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Missouri men’s golf team wrapped up their 2021-22 campaign Wednesday afternoon after falling short of making the cut at the NCAA Regionals to advance to the final Championship next week. The Tigers finished in 10th place with an overall 21-over 885 (294-296-295).

Mizzou was led by junior YuTa Tsai in their 15th program regional appearance. Tsai rebounded from his opening 4-over 76 round to fire a 5-under 67, matching the low score of the day and his career. His impressive second day score featured five birdies and one eagle, helping him soar up the leaderboard 36 spots. He ended the final 18 with a 1-over 73 to end even-par overall tied for 20th place, his eighth top-20 finish of the season.

Not far behind was veteran grad student, Jack Parker who fired a 1-under 71 in the initial round to tally his 15th round under-par on the year. He followed that with a 3-over 75 and 2-over 74, respectively, to round out his career tied for 32nd place with a 4-over 220.

Both Junior Charlie Crockett and sophomore Jack Lundin carded a 3-over 75 on the first day. Crockett went on to pencil in another 75, followed by a final round 4-over 76. Lundin put up his best score in a final round push as he fired an even-par 72. Both Tigers wrapped up their debut Mizzou seasons tied for 56th place.

Senior Tommy Boone rounded out the Tigers lineup as he sandwiched an 81 on the second day with a 73 and 78, respectively. He finished the week in 68th place.

This concludes the Tigers’ season as they finish with a total of four team wins and two individual titles on the year.
