COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri Track and Field team’s Kaia Harris, Claudina Diaz and Euphenie Andre advanced to the finals as the Tigers wrapped up round one of the NCAA Championships Saturday in Sacramento, Calif.
Harris took ninth in the discus with a throw of 54.41m (178-6). It will be the second-consecutive finals appearance for Harris as she earned a spot last season while at Purdue.
Diaz cleared a personal-best 1.85m (6-0.75) in the high jump to punch her ticket. The leap improved her No. 3 spot on Missouri’s event leaderboard. It will be the first-career finals appearance for the Merida, Yucatan, Mexico native.
Euphenie Andre leaped 3.34m (43-9.25) in teh triple jump to claim ninth and earn the first outdoor finals appearance of her collegiate tenure.
