Gulf Shores, Ala. – Columbia College had three athletes compete on day one of the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Hannah Ricketts placed 14th in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.31-meters which came in her second throw. That distance was her second-best performance of the season.
Ian Hammock finished 31st in the hammer throw with a toss of 49.32-meters. Hammock got better with each throw, starting at 48.70-meters, improving to 49.15-meters on throw two and ending with his 49.32-meter mark.
Mikayla Sehlmeyer ran 39:01.36 and finished 16th in the 10,000-meter run. The time was her second-fastest time this season.
