Tennis Wraps Up Fall Slate at The Drake Invite, Nov. 3

DES MOINES, Iowa – The University of Missouri tennis team travels to Des Moines, Iowa, to attend the Drake Invite hosted by Drake University at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center from November 3-5. 

The Tigers are coming off 14 victories across the team from the ITA Central Regional Championship in Lawrence, Kan., picking up eight singles and six doubles wins from the weekend. 

Beginning play on Friday, November 3, Mizzou will face off against Minnesota at 1 p.m. and follow up with Drake University at 2 p.m., with competition continuing on Saturday and Sunday. All doubles matches will be a six-game set, along with no ad scoring and a tiebreak at 6-6. Singles matches will be scored as the best of three tiebreak sets with no ad scoring.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

FRIDAY:

  • Mizzou vs Minnesota at 1 p.m. (Courts 2,4,6)
  • Drake vs Mizzou at 2 p.m. (Courts 1,3,5)

SATURDAY:

  • Mizzou vs St. Thomas at 10 a.m. (Courts 2,4,6)
  • Minnesota vs Mizzou at 11 a.m. (Courts 2,4,6)

SUNDAY:

  • Drake vs Mizzou at 10 a.m. (Courts 1,3,5)
  • St. Thomas vs Mizzou at 11 a.m. (Courts 2,4,6)

UP NEXT

Closing out the fall season, the Tigers will return to the courts on January 9 against Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz.
