BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – University of Missouri tennis couldn’t overcome a streaking Texas A&M squad and fell to the No. 2 Aggies 7-0 on Sunday at the Mitchell Tennis Center.

Texas A&M (15-1, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) won its 20th-straight conference match and eighth sweep of the season. Mizzou (9-7, 0-4) has dropped its first four league matches of 2023.

Mae Canete continued her strong run of play at No. 1 singles and pushed March Stoiana, the No. 5-rated singles player in the country and two-time reigning SEC Player of the Week, to the absolute limit in a third-set super tiebreaker. Stoiana took to the first set 6-1, Canete the second 6-3 and the two battled all the way to 13-11 in the tiebreaker with Stoiana coming out on top.

The Tigers played without their lone ranked singles player, Laura Masic, who was injured on Friday at LSU.

In doubles, the Canete sisters, Mae and Inah pushed things to a 6-5 score, but the match was left unfinished. The No. 2 doubles team of Emelie Schwarte and Andrea Artimedi came close but dropped a 6-4 decision which secured the doubles point for the Aggies.
