Tennis Returns To The Grand Canyon State For The Arizona Hidden Duals

Tennis team huddle

TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Missouri women’s tennis team continues its road stretch with the Arizona Hidden Duals against Michigan State University, Brigham Young University and the University of Arizona at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. Mizzou is scheduled to begin play on Friday, Jan. 19, and continue through Saturday, Jan. 20.

The Tigers fell in their last match at the University of Illinois (6-1) on Jan. 14, earning the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. Missouri’s two doubles tandems of senior Mae Canete and junior Inah Canete, along with sophomore Andrea Artimedi and graduate student Emelie Schwarte, remain undefeated (2-0) with wins in the recent Braggin’ Rights match.

The match marks the first contest against the Wildcats of Arizona in program history, who are sitting at a 1-0 record in the young 2024 season. The Tigers first competed against Michigan State on Mar. 8, 2011, and picked up the win (5-2), making the series record 1-0 for the program. Mizzou also leads BYU 2-0 in head-to-head competition with a win (4-3) in their last meeting on Feb. 3, 2017.
