Tennis Kicks Off Fall At H-E-B Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women’s tennis returns to the courts with the H-E-B Invitational at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, starting Sept. 29 and running through Sunday, Oct. 1. 

Mizzou will compete against Baylor, SMU, Tennessee, Denver and at Hurd Tennis Center. Play is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. CT each day.

Head Coach Bianca Turati begins her first fall season in charge of the Tigers after finishing the 2023 campaign, serving as the interim head coach before being named the head coach in May. 

Graduate Student Gabriela Martinez looks to replicate her start from last season, where the Spaniard took eight of her first nine singles matches, all in straight sets.

UP NEXT
Mizzou will continue the 2023 fall season with the ITA Regionals starting on Thursday, Oct. 12. Lawrence, Kan. Meanwhile, senior Mae Canete will compete at the ITA All-American Championship, with her first match taking place on Monday, Oct. 8, in Cary, N.C.
