St. Louis Cardinals Mid-Season Grades: Did ANYONE pass the test?

The St. Louis Cardinals have been an abject failure in the first half of the MLB season, but do any of their players or personnel deserve some credit for their performance? Andy and Brenden take a look at the mid-season report card for several prominent Cardinals.

Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado have largely been their regular selves–with some minor exceptions on the defensive side. Willson Contreras has struggled in a few areas behind the plate, but his offense is starting to come around over the past month or so. How much does that spare the catcher’s mid-season grade?

And what about John Mozeliak and Oli Marmol? How do the leaders of this sinking ship grade out after a last-place standing in the first half for St. Louis?
