Softball Splits On Final Day of Columbia College Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Columbia College softball team finished the Columbia College Invitational with a 3-1 record. The Cougars closed out the final day with a 3-1 advantage over Briar Cliff (Iowa), while falling 4-1 against Missouri Valley.

The Cougars move to 8-8 on the season.

  • Kennedy Jensen pitched a complete game, recording the win with two strikeouts

  • The Cougars added six hits in the contest
  • Ellie Kliethermes and Jodi Polly went 2-for-3 at the plate
  • Ellie Kliethermes brought in an RBI single
  • In 4.0 innings of work, Jazlin Gottman recorded five strikeouts

Columbia returns to action on the road in a doubleheader against Quincy (Ill.) on March 20 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
