Softball Earns Two Wins at Columbia College Invitational, Schouten Allows One Hit

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Columbia College softball team opened play at the Columbia College Invitational today, picking up two wins. The Cougars took game one over Briar Cliff (Iowa), 4-3, following with a win against Morningside (Iowa), 3-0.

Ella Schouten pitched a complete game, allowing only one hit, while producing a season-best 13 strikeouts.

The Cougars improve to 7-7 on the season.

The Cougars return to action at the Columbia College Invitational March 16 facing Briar Cliff (Iowa) at 3:00 p.m. and Missouri Valley at 5:00 p.m.
