Softball Defeats No. 2-Seed Madonna on Day One of NAIA Opening Round

Henderson, Tenn. – The Columbia College softball team came out on top against No. 2-seed Madonna (Mich.) in the first game of the 2022 NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round.

  • T7 (CC): Emily King singled scoring Taylor Barnes (CC 2, MU 0)

  • Six different players had a hit for the Cougars.
  • Jacey Meyer and Emily King had an RBI
  • Athena Wheeler reached base twice with two walks.
  • Lexi Dickerson tossed a complete-game shutout allowing two hits, a walk, and striking out three.
