COLUMBIA, Mo. – Missouri heads back out on the road to Oxford, Miss., to take on Ole Miss on Thursday, Oct. 5. The game will kick off at 6 p.m. CT inside Ole Miss Soccer Stadium and can be streamed on SEC Network+ with Will Kollmeyer (pxp) and Ian Banner (ana). 
    Following the contest against the Rebels, the Tigers return home to challenge No. 13 South Carolina on Sunday, Oct. 8. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. and will be on SEC Network+ with Joey Zanaboni (pxp) and Simon Rose (ana).    

LAST TIME OUT

  • Missouri dropped a hard-fought battle against No. 7 Arkansas, 1-0, on Sept. 28. 
  • The match’s lone goal came off a Razorback penalty kick in the 13th minute that was awarded due to a handball inside the box. 
  • The Tigers held the nationally-ranked Razorbacks scoreless in the run of play and outshot the opposition in the second half 6-4 but could not find the equalizer. 
  • Redshirt sophomore Bella Hollenbach earned a season-high seven saves, which ties her career high.  

TOUGH ROAD AHEAD

  • Missouri has a tough SEC schedule ahead, with four top-25 ranked teams on the horizon. 
  • The Tigers welcomed No. 22 Georgia to Columbia on Sept. 24 and No. 7 Arkansas on Sept. 28. In October, Mizzou will play No. 13 South Carolina on Oct. 8 and No. 19 Alabama on Oct. 26 at Walton Stadium. 
  • Last season, Missouri earned a win over No. 23 Auburn (Sept. 16) and tied No. 21 Mississippi State (Sept. 30). 

BULLSEYE

  • Sophomore Kylee Simmons currently ranks fifth in the country in shot accuracy with nine goals on 31 shot attempts. 
  • Furthermore, of the 31 shot attempts, Simmons has had 22 on goal and registered a season-high four shots on goal at Creighton on Aug. 8. 
  • Moreover, the sophomore leads the Southeastern Conference in points (20) and points per game (1.82) and is tied for first in goals (9) and goals per game (.82).

ALL-TIME SERIES: OLE MISS

  • Missouri is 5-2-2 against Ole Miss all-time, having won four of the last five meetings between the two teams. 
  • Moreover, the Tigers have not lost to the Rebels since Sept. 14, 2003, in Oxford, Miss., and Mizzou has never lost to Ole Miss in regulation, with both losses coming in overtime. 

SCOUTING THE REBELS

  • Ole Miss holds the same season record as Mizzou at 5-4-2 and is coming off a 4-0 loss in College Station, Texas to Texas A&M. 
  • The Rebels are led by senior forward Kelly Brady, who has totaled 12 points this season (six goals). 
  • Freshman goalkeeper Addie Yelton made her first start of the season against Texas A&M, making seven saves in the loss. 

ALL-TIME SERIES: SOUTH CAROLINA

  • The Sunday contest marks the 13th meeting between Mizzou and South Carolina, with the Tigers holding a 3-9 record against the Gamecocks. 
  • Additionally, Missouri won the first three meetings between the two programs and has since lost nine straight to South Carolina. 

SCOUTING THE GAMECOCKS

  • South Carolina is coming off a 2-1 win at Auburn on Sept. 29 and will play LSU at home on Oct. 5 before the game with Missouri. 
  • Senior forward Catherine Barry, with 20 points (eight goals, four assists), is leading the way offensively for South Carolina.
  • In net, goalkeeper Heather Hinz has started 11 games this season, totaling 27 saves and a .792 save percentage.
