Six Named KCAC Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference

Wichita, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has announced the 2022 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference teams and season award winner. The awards were voted on by the men’s lacrosse head coaches.
 
Tyler Parrott and Peter Jones were named to the First-Team, John Thomas and Derek Howard earned Second-Team honors, while Joseph Reed and Bryce Peltier were named Honorable Mention All-KCAC.
 
Parrott was the leading offensive weapon for the Cougars, scoring 30 goals and dishing out 31 assists. The 31 assists are the most in a single season in program history. Additionally, he added 47 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. Parrott is now a three-time All-KCAC selection.
 
Jones scored a goal and dished out three assists on the season. In addition, he picked up 56 ground balls and caused 14 turnovers, while winning 126 faceoffs, the second-most in a season in school history.
 
Thomas is All-KCAC for the second-straight season after scoring 41 goals, adding 14 assists for 55 points. Thomas tied the program record with eight goals scored in a single game on March 28 against Missouri Valley. Thomas also set the school record with 41 goals in a season.
 
Howard finds himself on the all-conference team for the first time in his career after scoring 29 goals, 15 assists, and 37 ground balls.
 
Reed scored 36 goals on the season and added 14 assists. On March 14, he set a new program record with eight goals in a single match.
 
Peltier was outstanding in goal this season for the Cougars. He accumulated 206 assists, the most in school history. In addition, he set another school record for most saves in a game with 27 against St. Ambrose on March 13, 2022. On the season he had four games with 20-or-more saves and allowed five-or-less goals four times.
