COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri had a total of six gymnasts earn Southeastern Conference accolades following last week’s SEC Championships in Duluth, Ga., the league office announced Wednesday.
The All-SEC team is made up of the gymnasts with the top two scores (including ties) on each event and in the all-around in the first and second sessions of the conference championships.
Amari Celestine, Helen Hu, Jocelyn Moore, Helen Hu, Alisa Sheremeta and Sienna Schreiber all earned All-SEC honors for the second year in a row.
Moore had the overall high score between both sessions on vault with a 9.95. On floor both Moore and Sheremeta had the overall high score in the first session with a 9.90. Hu led the first session on both bars and beam with a 9.950.
Celestine posted a 9.90 over on vault to finish as one of the top performers on the event. Schreiber posted a 9.90 on beam to finish as one of the top performers on the event.
As a team, the Tigers posted its highest championship score at SEC Championships, taking sixth with a score of 197.000.
Mizzou’s season continues from March 30-April 2 at the NCAA Los Angeles Regional Championships on the University of California, Los Angeles campus.
