Schreiber’s Perfect 10 On Beam Bolsters Season-Best Score Against No. 12 Arkansas

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Graduate student Sienna Schreiber scored the fifth perfect 10 in program history as No. 13-ranked University of Missouri Gymnastics team posted a season-high team score of 197.525, Sunday night at Hearnes Center. Ultimately, the Tigers could not pull out a victory in the Battle Line Rivalry, as the No. 12 Razorbacks scored a season-best 197.650.

In a routine five years in the making, Schreiber clinched her first career perfect 10 on beam, the third perfect 10 in program history on the event. Missouri’s all-time leading scorer had hit a 9.975 on the event five times in her career, including twice this season, before becoming the fourth gymnast in Mizzou history to hit a perfect score. 

Schrieber also scored a season-best vault (9.875) and tied a career-best on floor (9.925) to earn a 39.650 in the all-around, her career-best all-around score. 

Schreiber earned a trio of event titles on vault, beam and all-around as the Tigers racked up all five event titles Sunday. Junior Amari Celestine equaled Schreiber’s vault mark while graduate student Hollyn Patrick‘s season-best bars performance of 9.925 earned her a share of the event title. Freshman Kennedy Griffin and junior Jocelyn Moore each secured a share of the floor title, continuing their stellar campaigns on the event with a 9.950.

The Tigers close out SEC competition with an 8-5 overall record with a 2-5 mark against conference foes.

FIRST ROTATION

The Tigers opened up their first meet back in Hearnes with a 49.225 performance on vault with all six of the Tigers scoring above a 9.800 to kick off Alumni Night. Schreiber and Amari Celestine tied for the event title with a score of 9.875. 

SECOND ROTATION

Missouri tied its second-best bars rotation in program history, scoring a 49.450 to tie a mark they set against Arkansas last year. The first three Tigers in the second rotation started hot, led by graduate student Hollyn Patrick, who tied for the event title with a 9.925. Seniors Kyra Burns and Amaya Marshall followed with 9.900. 

THIRD ROTATION

In the anchor position, Sienna Schreiber earned her first perfect 10 in her career on beam earning her the event title. The Cumming, Georgia, native is now the second gymnast to earn a perfect score on beam along with Lauren Schwartzman (2004). Schrieber is now the fourth gymnast in Missouri Gymnastics history to score a 10, joining Schwartzman and teammates Jocelyn Moore and Mara Titarsolej.

FOURTH ROTATION

The Fab Floor pieced together another stunning floor rotation, earning a team score of 49.600. The score tied the second-best rotation score in program history which was most recently set against LSU earlier this year. Freshman Kennedy Griffin and Jocelyn Moore tied for the event title earning a score of 9.950. This is the first time Griffin earned a 9.950 and her second-highest score this season. 

Schreiber and Kratzer also both tied their career highs, with Schrieber earning a 9.925 and Kratzer earning a 9.900. 

MEET NOTES

  • Sienna Schrieber received the first perfect 10 of her career on beam, joining Lauren Schwartzman as one of just two gymnasts to record the feat on beam.
  • Schreiber became one of just seven gymnasts to hit a perfect 10 on beam in 2024.
  • Additionally, Schreiber earned a career-best all-around score of 39.650, breaking her previous mark of 39.625 set at the Mizzou Quad on March 10, 2023.
  • The Tigers earned a share of all five event titles for the third time this season.
  • Alonna Kratzer matched a career-best floor score of 9.900, most recently hit last year at Arkansas.
  • Jocelyn Moore extended her 9.9 streak on floor to 12 meets with a 9.950.
  • Kyra Burns tied her career-best on bars with a 9.900, equaling a mark set two meets prior at Mizzou to the Lou.
  • Amaya Marshall tied her career-best bars performance with a 9.900, marking the third time she’s hit that score.
  • Kennedy Griffin earned her first career start on vault, collecting a 9.825.

UP NEXT

The Tigers will be back at Hearnes Center next Sunday, March 10, for their final regular season home quad against No. 11 Denver, New Hampshire and SEMO. First touch is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT, and the meet will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
