Sarah Linthacum Named to SEC Community Service Team

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Sophomore forward Sarah Linthacum has been named to the 2022-23 SEC Women’s Basketball Community Service Team, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Linthacum has heavily invested in Columbia, Mo. and the surrounding community since she arrived on campus.

The second-year forward spends time mentoring and volunteering at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Missouri and played a significant role in the organization’s Missouri Basketball Hoops fundraiser. She has frequently assisted at the JW Blind Boone Community Center while also engaging in restoration efforts at the Coyote Hill Children’s Home.

Additionally, Linthacum has served alongside Special Olympics Missouri, volunteering at numerous events and fundraisers. She also plays a supporting role in Missouri’s Tiger Paws Program, which aims to improve participation in sports by partnering young children with current student-athletes. Finally, Linthacum recently led a Read-A-Thon at Grant Elementary School in Columbia, Mo.

UP NEXT

Missouri will close out the season’s road contests with a visit to Oxford, Miss. to face Ole Miss at 6 p.m. Thursday. The contest will be broadcasted on SECN+ and KTGR.
