Columbia College Head Women’s & Men’s Golf Coach Michelle Parrish has accepted a position at the University of Missouri, her alma mater, as assistant women’s golf coach.

Parrish, who worked with Columbia College for four years as a graduate assistant and assistant coach before taking over the program this past year, led the Cougar women to their best season ever in 2022. CC both won the American Midwest Conference title and advanced to the NAIA National Championship for the first time in program history, and had the AMC medalist (Haleigh Berry) for just the second time ever and first since 2017. In addition, the Cougar men finished a single stroke away of capturing their own AMC title.

“While we are certainly sad to see Michelle leave us, we are excited for her and this opportunity,” said Director of Athletics James Arnold. “She worked very hard for our programs the last few years and this past season as our head coach, she took the programs to new heights. She will be missed.”

Parrish will work with Arnold and the administrative team for a smooth transition, and Arnold indicated they have already started the search for their new head coach.
