COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Track and Field head coach Brett Halter announced the addition of assistant coach Paige Duca on Tuesday.

Duca will serve as an assistant coach with the cross country program and will oversee distance and middle distance track and field athletes.

She joins the Tigers after serving as the recruiting coordinator for the cross country and distance programs at Tennessee.

With the Vols, Duca evaluated prospective student-athletes, directed on-campus recruiting efforts and coordinated team compliance activities.

“I am thrilled and humbled to be joining the Mizzou Cross Country and Track and Field staff,” she said. “I was immediately impressed with the passion, character and commitment from coach Halter and coach Levermore. Coach Halter has led the program through periods of greatness and his strategic vision will position the program toward long-term excellence. Coach Levermore has the energy, talent, and experience as an athlete and coach to position the distance program to the top of the SEC and the NCAA. It’s a really exciting time for Mizzou Cross Country and Track and Field. I cannot wait to get to work and create something truly special with our staff, student-athletes and the Mizzou Athletic department.”

Prior to her stint in Knoxville, Duca worked at Michigan where she served as the event coordinator for the men’s and women’s tennis programs. She also worked as the tournament manager for the NCAA Women’s Golf Regional and NCAA Men’s Tennis Super Regional.

During the 2021-22 year, Duca worked at Harvard in event management where she was the primary event coordinator for indoor track & field, men’s soccer, men’s volleyball, and women’s hockey.

“Paige brings an incredibly well-rounded scope of elite expertise to our program,” Missouri cross country coach Kyle Levermore said. “From coaching and training knowledge to event management and recruiting, she has proven to be one of the best young coaches. I am thrilled to have her a part of the program here at Mizzou!”

A standout collegiate athlete, Duca ran for Boston College from 2015-2020 and was a two-time All-American in the 1500-meter and mile. She was also an NCAA Regional qualifier in the 3000-meter steeplechase and earned All-ACC honors in cross country, the mile, distance medley relay and 1500m. Duca was selected as captain for two consecutive years for the Boston College Cross Country and Track & Field Teams. As a graduate student, she served as captain of the cross country team in 2019 and helped guide the team to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Her coaching career began with the Eagles where she served as an assistant cross country and distance coach in 2021.

Duca graduated from Boston College in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Management. She also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Sports Administration from her alma mater.
